Gohekea Volunteers (GV), located in Arusha Tanzania, is a non-profit organization which aims to help young children in Africa achieve their dreams. These are dreams of hope that many children have lost because of the extreme poverty which faces many African families. Participating in one of our volunteer programs restores hope by directly combating this poverty, and enabling dreams of a better tomorrow to be possible.

GV recognizes the importance of the next generation in tomorrow's world. We believe that yesterday’s problems don’t need to define us any longer. Through this, GV volunteers and those we serve will together find a greater purpose and meaning to life.

The GV staff has hosted volunteers since 2004, and has been organized as an independent non-profit since 2008. We became independent in order to position ourselves as a more intimate, affordable, and personable experience. We have the credible reputation of hosting more than 100 volunteers. We are able to host seven (7) volunteers at a time and currently have 15 options for placement in orphanages, schools, and clinics; both in urban and rural settings.
